Day01 Arrive Kathmandu and Transfer to Hotel.
Day 02 Kathmandu Sightseeing
1/2 Day sightseeing to Monkeys Temple and trekking permit arrangements. O/N in Kathmandu.
Day 03 Kathmandu -Pokhara
Drive or fly to 200 km or 8 hour drive by Tourist bus/car. west from Kathmandu. Meet the trekking crew in Pokhara.
Day 04 Pokhara - Lumle - Tikhe Dhunga - Beni
We drive to the large village of Lumle and the hamlet of Chandrakot. From here the trail descends steeply to Birethanti on the banks of the Modi Khola. We follow the east bank of the Bhurungi with some detours to avoid cliffs. Along the way, various hamlets offer ample camping possibilities but if Ghorepani is the objective for the next day it is better to push on to Tikhe Dhunga.
Day 05 Beni - Ghorepani(2774m)
The trail ascends a steep stone staircase to Ulleri village then more pleasantly through rhododendron forest. There is a hut with water and a small camp site about 1 hr. above Ulleri, and further, on the stream is followed, providing water for a meal stop. Arrive at the top of the Ghorepani pass and Camp there
Day 06 Ghorepani – Ghandrung
Today the trail undulates through giant rhododendron forest and orchid colonies to the pretty Gurung town of Ghandrung, where the Annapurna range and Machhapuchhare (the Fishtail) dominate the mountain views, although glimpses of Lamjung Himal and the Manslu range can also be seen further east.
Day 07 Ghandrung – Dhampus
The path descends for about 2 hours, before climbing steeply to another Gurung village, Landrung. We then follow the hillside south to the Dhampus. The mountain views are superb and far away o the south lies Fewa Tal (lake.) We continue down the ridge to the village of Dhampus, from where the mountains still enchant.
Day 08 Dhampus – Phedi – Pokhara
Steep descent through the river valley to Phedi, then drive to Pokhara
Day 09: Drive to Kathmandu
Day 10: Free on your own, depart Kathmandu
